Installation is where the money you spent on a good window is kept or lost. We set the frame square and plumb, insulate the gap between frame and framing — foamed, not stuffed — flash and seal against melt water, and finish the trim inside and out. Much of the housing in Dillon Valley, Wildernest and the older condo buildings dates to the 80s and 90s, and those original windows are past their winters: drafts, frost on the inside glass, fog trapped between the panes. Doors get the same care — thresholds set for snow at the sill, weatherstripping that still seals in February, hardware that works with gloves on.
